Top 2 Tuesday: Things you collect

Well, I copied this from my friend Lindsay! Thought it was a cute idea of something to blog about, even though I really should be finding someone to put in the Army!

1st thing I collect is bills. Ugh... When they come in the mail, I pay them... but I just can't seem to throw them away. I'm always worried they'll come back to haunt me. I have stacks and stacks of papers that could be thrown away but I just can't.

2nd thing collected are the slips from daycare. They say what my kids did during the day, when they ate and when their diapers were changed and I have a MILLION of them. They are actually a nuisance because they are just laying around the house. I just can't seem to cut ties with them. Who knows, I might just want to look back and see what Cash did on January 3, 2009. I wish I had a picture just to show you how full Cash's baby book is! It's ridiculous, but I know eventually I'm going to have start throwing away these little pieces that are so sentimental to me... Brings me to tears just thinking about it.

Busy busy busy.....

Geez! This weekend flew by and I have no clue what I even did! Well, to start off.... Friday, I was in SUCH a great mood! Got off of work around 11am and headed to see my future daughter in law, Faith =) She is beautiful and Cash is soooo lucky!

Anyways, stayed there for a couple of hours and headed on my long journey home (hour and a half). I sure hope the Army has enough common sense to move my tail to Lincoln. This drive is sure getting tiring! On my way home I get a call from daycare saying Cash is running a 103 temp. Ughhhhhh... NOT a good start to my weekend. Poor boy was miserable. I really think it's his teeth. They are all coming in at once and he's constantly chewing on his sleeves and collars of his shirts. He ran a low grade fever most of the weekend but now he's doing better! Thank the lord. There's nothing worse than seeing your little one in pain =(

Saturday, mom picked me up and we headed to the spring game! We had a BLAST! We went and had coffee at Barnes and Noble, then headed downtown to the "Sea of Red". We tailgated for awhile and watched the game till the very end, we're dedicated. =) Can't wait for football season!

Sunday was a very emotional day for me. A friend of mine who I went to school with lost his baby girl. She was 3 years old and had suffered from a horrible disease. Lisa and I went to the viewing and it was beautiful. Angels all over the casket and a huge collage of pictures. Heaven definitely got a perfect little angel!

Tomorrow is an exciting day! My mother and father inlaw are coming from Florida! We ichat with them 3-4 times a week, so it'll be great to see Cash's expression when they aren't on the computer! They spoil him rotten so I'm sure he'll be so excited! I wish this weather would clear up, it's going to be rainy and cold all week! But that's not stopping us one bit! Easter this year is going to be awesome! We get to dye Easter eggs, meet the Easter bunny and go to an egg hunt! These are the things I've been waiting for =)

Hope everyone is having a great week!

#2 catastrophe....

As I was giving Cash a bath last night, I was taking video because he was laughing hysterically at the silly noises I was making. I swear, I will do anything and everything to hear that cute laugh and I don't care where we are! My husband makes fun of me and says babe, not in public... but I could care less! So, as I was watching the video and getting ready to put it on Facebook, I look over and his face is purple!!! He is grunting and I know what happens shortly after that grunt! I (without trying to scare the poop out of him, literally) gently pick him up and sit him on the "big potty". As I picked him up and swung him over to the toilet, you know what flies with us and lands on the bathroom rug! I've never had an encounter like this so I was trying to think what the most logical thing would be to do! So, I just sat there praising him and giving him high fives all while this stuff was sitting on the rug. He kept saying he was done but I knew better! Minutes later, he got off the potty and I went to clean that gross stuff off the rug and glanced over and guess who was sticking his hand IN the toilet? My first reaction was to scream, and it scared the daylight out of him! He ended up having a meltdown and needless to say bath time was over!! What a crazy night it was in the Marchese house! But just minutes before our catastrophe this is the fun that we were having....

I am really looking forward to the weekend! The spring game is on Saturday and it's just a little slice of heaven for me! I have a slight obsession with Nebraska football, as I'm sure 90% of the people that live here do too! The last two seasons I've been big, miserable and pregnant, so this upcoming season is going to be so much fun! Something about big delicious stadium hot dogs, great friends, football, beautiful fall weather and a nice cold beer that makes this girl so happy! Not to mention, I have 2 babies that will grow up being so proud of where they came from; Husker Nation!

Below is the first and only game I went to because I was 7 months preggo! Love tailgating with two of my favorite gals!

My sister is new to the blog world like me, so I am trying to give her some ummph and motivation to continue, so check out her site and follow her! She is very inspiring and anyone who knows her, knows that she would do ANYTHING for ANYONE. She has the biggest heart of anyone I've ever met and I think this new blogging thing is the perfect thing for her to share her stories! I also have a friend named Lindsay who is a brilliant writer as well, her first story had me crying and the rest was history!

Last but not least, I had to share one of the sweetest moments I've had with Cason... I heard him giggle for the first time and I captured it in this picture =)

Hope you are all having a fabulous week and hopefully I'll have some more to blog about tomorrow! Have a great Thursday =)

My weekend...

I'm guessing there aren't a lot of guys that blog, so I'll start off by saying.... as I sit here in the bathroom and pump, I'll tell you guys what my weekend consisted of! Friday night I went out for dinner and drinks with 3 girls from high school! What a fun reunion that was! We gossip a lot and talked about each others' lives! We have all went in different directions but it also seemed like we haven't skipped a beat! I've sure missed those girls!

Saturday I took Cash to the park with my cousin and her two little girls, Ava and Savanna! They are 1 and 2 years old and did I mention she's pregnant with twins?? Yeah, she will have her hands full but we can't wait to meet these bundles of joy! After the park, we went home and took a serious nap! Sunday, daddy went golfing for the day and I took the kiddos to grandmas! It's amazing how much love she has for both of them! Melts my heart everytime! Pretty relaxing weekend I'd say!

I am so looking forward to summer and introducing Cash to all of the new fun things that he wasn't sure about last summer! He's getting to that fun age where he's getting into everything and is curious about how things work! So, needless to say, the pool, sand and dirt are going to be fun!

I'm glad the govt has figured out this damn shut down! I was getting a bit nervous! How was I supposed to recruit people into the Army and them knowing I wasn't getting paid?!! Well, I don't have to worry about that anymore!

Well, for a Monday blog this was pretty lame! They'll get better as the weeks go on! For now... just be patient...

Reuniting!

Tonight is going to be a great night! I am going to see some awesome girls that I went to high school with! I can't wait to catch up with them and talk about whose dating who, who has kids, whose working where and all of that good stuff! Should be a great time!

The rest of the weekend I plan on relaxing and getting ready for the inlaws that are coming to visit from Florida! I'm so very excited for them to meet Cason for the first time and see how much Cash has grown up! They are so wonderful and Cash just adores his Papa and Gama! The weather should be nice for Easter and I can't wait for the Easter egg hunt!

While I'm writing, I must bring this up! What in the world is going on with this government of ours?! Are we really considering a "shut down"? This means, my job, the troops fighting overseas (risking their lives), govt workers etc stop getting paid! I'm not big on politics, personally if you ask me I think they're very boring but this is beyond ridiculous and its very frightening knowing I may not be getting a paycheck in the weeks to come. I'm thinking about the soldiers who work and allow their wives to stay at home and raise their children, what are they going to do?! I'm very fortunate that my husband has a great job but their are some people out their who rely on that check! My heart goes out to all of them. Let's just pray that everything works out and we can be worry-free!
Well, I hope everyone has a great weekend! If you live in Nebraska, be careful! There are supposed to be some pretty bad storms! Gotta love Spring time in Nebraska! Xoxo

My rocks, great influences and 2 little heart breakers =)

Introducing my 3 favorite boys! First, without my hubby I couldn't have had 2 little angels. So, I'll put him first =)

This is Cash! He is so full of life, on the go all the time and as ornery as they come! Love him to pieces and am so proud to be his mama!

Cason arrived into this big world on January 21, 2011. He went through some bad times the first half of his little life, but he is back to normal and is perfect as can be!

My beautiful mother has ALWAYS been a huge part of my life. She is my rock, the person I lean on and cry to, the woman I admire more than anyone on this planet, who I can tell ANYTHING to and most of all she is the BEST grandma any little grandson's could ask for. I love her more than life.

My sisters are certainly the reason of who I am today. I blame them for my girlyness. From the start of Kindergarten, they'd dress me up, do my hair and make up like a barbie doll and send me off to school. They have helped me with boy problems, picked me up from places I probably shouldn't have gone but most of all gave me the words and wisdom to get me here today! Thank you BOTH so very much!

Hola Blog World!

Greetings blog friends! I'm excited to start this new experience of blogging and hope all of you will help me out! I'll start by telling you a little bit about my life. First and foremost, I'm married to a handsome soldier who I met in Iraq back in 2003 and we have two beautiful baby boys! One of which was born about 10 weeks ago! Their names are Cash and Cason and they are my EVERYTHING!
Next, my mother and sisters are my rock and I'm really not sure what I'd do without them. I've always been extremely close to them and they've truly made me who I am today! My dad, he lost his battle to brain cancer back in 2008. It was by far the worst thing I've ever had to experience. But I know that he is so proud of what I've done and who I've become! I can't wait to see him again someday!
As I mentioned before, I am a soldier in the US Army and have been for almost 10 years! I joined after 9/11 because I felt the need to do something for my country. I recently got promoted to Sergeant First Class and am very anxious to take on more responsibility and learn more about leadership! Don't get me wrong, I may wear combat boots and might be able to choke you out in 7 seconds. But don't let that fool you, I am very girly. My favorite color is pink, I love high heels, lip gloss and dangly earrings!
Going out with my best girls are one of my favorite things to do! Whether it be dinner, drinks or shopping we always have a blast! My best friend Lisa, is the one who has been encouraging me to start blogging, so I finally decided to start! I'm not the best writer on the planet but I just figured it'd be worth looking back on someday!
I'm excited to "follow" many of you through this blogging journey and maybe make a few new friends along the way! If any of you have any tips or advice, throw them out there! I'm clueless!

Until next time......
